Sunday Brunch

Life as a college student requires dedication, persistence, and sacrifices. In order to maintain success, college students often misplace their personal needs to prevail in academics. Leading to isolation and disconnect from community and even at times individuality. I began to notice this feeling within myself, and saw it mirrored quietly in others — a path we were walking without fully knowing we’d chosen it.

Through my “Sunday Brunch”  photoshoot I wanted to bring light to this issue using metaphors relating to spring, renewal, community, and spiritual connection.

Photographers Perspective

Aspiring a career in photography seems like a simple goal at face, but being able to capture moments, create stories, and evoke emotions takes more than just the click of a button. Whether photographers work in commercial advertising, landscape, or everyday life, being able to uphold the most potential of a photo requires practice and skill. Photography plays a significant role in self-expression and works as a creative outlet for photographers to express an emotion or tell a story without the use of any words. It’s a power to establish these sorts of connections with audiences and is a vital source for preserving history.

Modeling

My experience as a model has shaped my understanding of creative design and directing, fueling my desire to step into a leadership role. The projects I’ve participated in have given me insight into the directive mindset behind both playful, imaginative concepts and meaningful, message-driven work. Regardless of their tone, these projects aim to connect with audiences and serve as powerful forms of expression.
